About me:

My name is Andrea Coakley and I am a Licensed Acupuncturist and a Qigong/Tai Chi Instructor. I’m excited to offer Qigong, Tai Chi, and Acupuncture at Qi Ville [chee – ville], located in the Collinsville Axe Factory in Collinsville, CT.

My journey with Chinese Medicine began over 20 years ago when I was first introduced to Qigong and Tai Chi.  These beautiful arts inspired me to leave a 12 year career in Special Education to go deeper into the heart of Chinese Medicine and begin a new career as an acupuncturist. Qigong and Tai Chi are the foundation of my Chinese Medicine practice and my own personal healing.  These practices allow me to provide patients with effective tools to participate in their own healing as well.

Credentials:

M.S. in Acupuncture from the Swedish Institute’s College of Health Sciences, 2008. Training included the study of Classical Chinese Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) under the guidance of Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th generation Taoist Priest of the Jade Purity Lao Zi School and Master of Chinese Medicine. B.S. in Special Education, 1993; M.A. in Education, 1994, from the University of Connecticut.
